CPLC Meeting Held with CPLISNGJ

A meeting was held with the Pioneer of CPLC NC, Mr. Mahmud Danial last evening.

Messrs. Zahid Hussein, Colonel Ali Nazim (R), and Hashim were present.

In this over 90 minutes meeting, many issues were discussed. These included: Quicker start of work, Police efficiency and the doubts of people.

Mr. Mahmud stressed on the point, that, Policemen are also people like us, and here is an opportunity for you to take control, and fix the problems perceived by you.

He also advised and clarified: There are 72 staff members in CPLC NC of Block 6 today. Of these there are 25 Policemen. The membership status is 400 households. A screening of rotten apples was done, until a finely tuned workforce emerged over the past 12 years. He stressed that you will start from where we have reached now ... you pick up a lot of ready made stuff. The Wireless Set may cost Rs. 35,000, each walkie talkie Rs. 11,500, Honda 70 like Chinese Motor bikes for Rs. 35,000 each, but the antenna (110 feet high) could cost over Rs. 100,000 itself. A larger building can help in reducing the costs. He also advised to charge Rs. 1,500 PM to provide good level of services. But this is a matter yet to be taken up among a community, which is NOT willing to unite as yet.

CPLC NC Al-Hamrah Society Launched

The CPLC NC pioneer, Mr. Danial Mahmud has another star added to his chest.

The Al-Hamrah Society, Shaheed e Millat Road, right across the Hill Park, has inaugurated its CPLC NC system a couple of days ago.

They have a starting membership of 180 houses. We are still struggling with a total of 20 households that have paid, and another about 10 that have promised to pay.

CPLC NC Meeting Rescheduled to May 22

Seeing is Believing - CPLC in Action ....

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen: Salaam. A nice day to you all.

Some people, "non-believers" in possible goodness among our Police System ;-) have expressed their reservations about involving the Policemen in our security project.

In order to show them existing CPLC in action, we have contacted Mr. Danial Mahmud, CPLC-NC, and he has agreed to show us real action near Hill Park area.
